Carbohydrate is made up of suger., and suger is made out of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and on the ratio of 1 carbon, 2 hydrogen, 1 oxygen. Simple sugers contain just one suger unit and are called monosaccharides, and disaccharides are made out of monosaccharides.

Carbohydrates are important and they could provide you energy.
1. Explain the difference between a monosaccharide and a disaccharide. Give an eanmple of each.
A monosaccharide is only one suger unit. and a disaccharide is composed of two monosaccharides.
2. Compare and contrast starch, glycogen, and cellulose.
A starch are found in plant cells that consists entirely of glucose monomers. A glycogen is found in animals that is a chain of many glucose monomers. And celluloseare in plants and served as buiding materials.
3. How do animals store excess glucose molecules?
Make an example, such as humans. For humans, most glycogens are stored as granules inliver and muscle cells, and when the body needs energy, it breakes down these glycogen granules, releasing glucose.
